Shatteredstar jumped, slightly out of it. "What? Oh, yes of course." She meows quickly, her voice grating as usual. Perhaps Summerstreak would be a good choice for deputy. "Don't worry too much about the size of the patrols-I don't believe anything appears to be threatening us at the moment."

Smoketalon padded out of his den, bundled in his jaws was some old moss from his nest. He padded just outside the camp, buried it, and trotted back in, his eyes gleaming.

Summerstreak nodded. "Shadowstorm and Wishpelt, could you take your apprentices hunting at the Boulder a River?" She paused and looked around. Her gaze caught Blackbeam's and she spoke again. "I'll go to the Rainclan border with Blackbeam, and will Lionstorm go with Rockpelt to the Oakclan border?"

"Question or an order?" Shatteredstar asked behind her, raisin an eye. Her voice was scratcher than normal in the lower tone, but she knew it would only serve to enhance the meaning of her words.
